La façade en inox anodisé de la Maison des Arts et des Étudiants et les briques brun foncé de la Maison du Nombre, site des filières de mathématiques et sciences de l’information, se fondent dans leur environnement. Construite sur la terrasse des hauts-fourneaux de Belval (derniers fourneaux du Luxembourg), la construction ressuscite ce paysage qui abritait auparavant une partie de l’industrie sidérurgique de la région.
The reddish stainless steel facade of the Maison des Arts et des Étudiants and the dark brown brick frontage of the Maison du Nombre, the Mathematics and IT building, blend harmoniously into the existing environment. Built on the terrace of the Belval blast furnaces (the last furnaces in Luxembourg), the construction project has revitalised a landscape that was once home to part of the region’s steel-making industry.
