Cet ascenseur public relie le quartier Pfaffenthal et la ville haute. Le projet encourage la mobilité douce et désenclave ce quartier de la vallée de l’Alzette par un moyen de transport gratuit et rapide. Projetée dans le vide, la cabine se trouve entièrement hors gaine et est vitrée du sol au plafond sur la moitié de sa surface. Elle offre aux usagers un trajet à travers les paysages d’une carrière pour aboutir après 30 secondes sur un magnifique panorama de la vallée et du plateau du Kirchberg.
This public lift connects the historical district of Pfaffenthal and the upper city of Luxembourg. The project promotes soft mobility, and opens up a valley floor district with a free and fast mean of transportation. Suspended above the valley, the cabin is entirely out-sheath and is glazed from floor to ceiling on half of its surface. It offers the users a journey through the landscapes of a quarry to finish after 30 seconds on a magnificent panorama of the Alzette valley and the Kirchberg plateau.
